Ed began his career at Houston Lighting and Power Company in the Nuclear Plant Operations Department in 1985. Over the 25 years spanning his career, the company has changed names and ownerships several times.

He has held several engineering and management positions throughout the company. Ed is currently the engineering and maintenance manager at NRG Energy in the Texas Gas Plants Operations Department.

Ed earned his BS in Mechanical Engineering (1985) and MS in Engineering Management (1991) from the University of Houston.

He is a licensed engineer in the state of Texas, whose work has centered on combustion turbine operations and maintenance.

Ed has served as the Vice Chair of the CTOTF™’s GE (E & Legacy Class) CTs Roundtable since 2009. He has also served as Vice Chair of the CTOTF™’s Combined Cycle Roundtable.

Position Objective: To provide incremental business value to the CTOTF™ membership by facilitating communications, information, and discussion among CTOTF™ members, equipment manufacturers, and service providers for the GE (E  & Legacy Class) combustion turbine and to assist the GE Roundtables Chair in planning and conducting the GE CombustionTurbine Users Roundtables.
Position:GE (E&Legacy-Class) Users RT Vice Chair Position Duties and ResponsibilitiesDuties and Responsibilities

This Roundtable is provided for Member Users, to exchange information towards the resolution of problems, issues and concerns pertaining to General Electric's older fleet of combustion turbines such as, the Frame-5s, Frame-6Bs and older Frame-7 (B, C, E and EA)s.

Discussion topics for this Roundtable include: Centerline Equipment and Components, Ancillary Systems, Inlets, Exhausts, Controls and Protection, Inlet Air Conditioning and Performance Testing.
