Salt River Project, Desert Basin
Moh Saleh is the Engineering O&M manager at SRP, Desert Basin, a combined cycle plant with 2 Siemens 501FD2 and a GE D11 steam turbine.
Prior to SRP he worked for Reliant Energy as plant engineer and operations supervisor at Desert Basin.
Moh has been working in the power industry for over 30 years. For 10 years as an international field engineer he commissioned generators, excitation systems, relaying, gas and steam turbine controls for GE.
For 11 years Moh worked with GE Salem as lead application engineer in excitation systems, relaying, and turbine controls. He was also the development project manager for the EX2100 excitation product line.
Moh has served the CTOTF as Vice Chair of the Generator Roundtable and in 2011 assumed the duties and responsibilities of the Chair for the CTOTF™'s Gen-EI&C Roundtables which consists of the Generator, HV-Electrical and Instrumentation & Controls Roundtables.
Position Objective: To provide incremental business value to the CTOTF™ membership by facilitating communications, information and discussion among CTOTF™ members, equipment manufacturers, and service providers for the Generator, HV-Electrical Equipment and Instrumentation & Controls Roundtables.
|Position:Duties and Responsibilities|
These Roundtables are provided for Member Users, to exchange information towards resolving problems, issues and concerns, pertaining to a combustion or steam turbine electric power generating facility's, Electric Generator, High Voltage Electrical Equipment and Instrumentation & Controls Systems.
Discussion topics for the Generator Roundtable include: AVRs and Controls, Relays and Protection Systems, Exciter Systems, Hydrogen Systems and the Performance and Testing of these systems.
Discussion topics for the HV-Electrical Roundtable include: Transformers and Switches, Relays and Protection, Power Distribution, Breakers and Testing of these systems.
Discussion topics for the I&C Roundtable include: Instrumentation, Controls and Sensors and the Performance and Testing of these systems.
