
Scott Takinen

Scott has more than three decades of experience in the engineering and management of nuclear, coal-fired steam, and combined-cycle generating plants—all with APS.
He has managed the Ocotillo, Yucca, Redhawk, and West Phoenix facilities and held other positions at Cholla, Four Corners, and Palo Verde. Currently leads a team of 59 employees at West Phoenix, which provides both power and ancillary services.
Another of Scott’s responsibilities includes generic safety and environmental issues across the company’s gas/oil-fired plants.
He has served continuously as Chair of the CTOTF™’s Regulatory and Compliance Roundtables, which consist of the Air/Water and NERC/FERC Roundtabels, since 2003.

Position Objective: To provide incremental business value to the CTOTF™ membership by facilitating communications, information and discussion among CTOTF™ members, equipment manufacturers, and service providers for the Regulatory and Compliance (Air/Water and NERC/FERC) Roundtables.

The Regulatory and Compliance Roundtables are provided for Member Users, to exchange information regarding issues and concerns, affecting components typically associated with an electric power generating plant's Environmental Systems and its compliance with NERC/FERC regulations. Discussion topics for these Roundtables include: Regulatory interface and compliance. |
